Fed Link™ Wireless Communication Headsets provide active hearing protection and hands–free, wireless speech communication in noisy industrial environments.
Fed Link utilizes license–free FRS (Family Radio Services) low power bands. The lengthy process of obtaining a frequency through the FCC is not required. The signal is strong enough to communicate clearly up to two miles. Range might be lessened in some facilities, depending on the construction materials and layout.
Mode and channel changes are simplified with the aid of a liquid crystal display or the audible voice messages that indicate adjustments made while wearing the headset.
Both the headband and hard helmet versions are very comfortable, encouraging users to leave the units in place and lessen the risk of damage to their hearing. In environments where ambient noise levels require hearing protection, per OSHA requirements, Fed Link assures compliance and provides a safe means of communication.
VOX (voice activated) mode allows the user to communicate while leaving both hands free to operate equipment. The noise canceling boom microphone ensures that loud background noise is filtered out of the communication.
Two off–the–shelf AA batteries make powering the unit simple.
