Application
 | These single door stainless steel enclosures provide industry-leading protection for housing electrical components and controls in washdown or corrosive environments. Hoffman’s exclusive Type 316L stainless steel small POWERGLIDE® padlocking handle and internal 3-point latching combine ease of access with security.These enclosures are well-suited for indoor and outdoor applications that are frequently wet or exposed to other corrosive agents. Typical applications include petrochemical plants, pulp and paper processing; water treatment facilities; and various food, packaging, and pharmaceutical applications.
Enclosures are available in both Type 304 and Type 316L stainless steel in a wide variety of standard sizes.Type 316L stainless steel provides additional corrosion protection for more demanding environments and applications. |
Construction
- 14 gauge Type 304 or Type 316L stainless steel bodies and doors
- Seams continuously welded and ground smooth, no holes or knockouts
- Seamless foam-in-place gasket assures water-tight and dust-tight seal
- Rolled lip around three sides of door and all sides of enclosure opening excludes liquids and contaminants
- Internal 3-point latch and Type 316L stainless steel padlocking
- POWERGLIDE handle assure security and a water-tight seal while still allowing convenient access
- Door removed by pulling stainless steel continuous hinge pin
- Data pocket is high-impact thermoplastic
- Collar studs provided for mounting optional panels
- Exterior hardware on Type 316L stainless steel enclosures matches enclosure material
Finish
Enclosures are unpainted. Door, sides, top, and bottom have smooth
- 4 brushed finish. Handle is electropolished.
